Jacob Gray

MANAGING PARTNER

Jacob’s experience includes hundreds of millions in private-market transactions including financing for PE, VC, real estate and private credit funds, direct deals into operating companies, pay-for-performance structures and social enterprises. Jacob has been serving private family office, foundation, VC, higher ed and corporate clients since 2018. He was formerly the Managing Director of Impact Investing at Threshold Group, a multi-family office founded by the Russell family and since acquired by Tiedemann.

Prior to Threshold, Jacob was Senior Director of the Wharton Social Impact Initiative. There he served as lead author on a rigorous study on quantitative and qualitative performance of impact investing funds and co-launched the industry’s most comprehensive database (later named the Wharton/Harvard/Booth Impact Finance Research Consortium). At Wharton he also partnered with Bridges Ventures to launch the Turner MIINT, an experiential impact investing training program for 48 of the world’s leading graduate schools that continues to influence thousands of MBAs now practicing in finance.

Jacob started his impact investing career as a co-founder and eventual Partner of Murex Investments, one of the nation’s first community development venture capital funds. To help build the regional ecosystem he also co-founded the GoodCompany Ventures incubator and the Investors’ Circle Philly impact angel group.

Jacob is a graduate of Brown University. He lives in Philadelphia with his spouse, children and dogs and enjoys cooking, guitar, backcountry hiking and his city’s sneaky-amazing food scene.
