Jennifer Kim

ASSOCIATE PARTNER

Jennifer is co-founder and Associate Partner of Gray and Kim Capital Partners. She provides clients with investment diligence and deal underwriting services for private market funds and early-stage companies.

Prior to forming GKCP, Jennifer consulted for a range of impact investors, including family offices, foundations, registered investment advisors, and field-building organizations. Her deal expertise spans private funds such as venture capital, private equity, and credit funds, as well as direct investments in education, future of work, sustainability and health.

She also contributed market research to the U.S. Impact Investing Alliance’s publication, Impact at Work: An Examination of Corporate Impact Investing Strategies and Their Durability.

Jennifer previously served as Investment Officer at Spring Point Partners, a social impact organization affiliated with a single-family office. In this role, she was involved in the entire deal life cycle – from strategy and origination to due diligence, closing, portfolio reporting, risk management, and extending technical assistance to portfolio founders and fund managers.

Jennifer started her career at Citigroup, joining the west coast investment banking group and providing advisory services and debt financing for public-private partnership developments across the US. Her responsibilities included pre-development advisory, financial modeling, deal pricing, organizing road shows, and capital issuances. She has experience facilitating collaboration with for-profit, non-profit, and government stakeholders and was directly involved in supporting over $2 billion of capital issued for key infrastructure and community development projects.

Jennifer holds a B.S. in Environmental Economics and Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, along with a Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship from the Sutardja Center at Berkeley. During her studies, she co-founded a social app startup (auto-scheduling lunch hangouts for coworkers and friends), which was accepted into the Skydeck Accelerator program. Additionally, she participated in the Riordan MBA Fellows Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Jennifer lives in Salt Lake City and enjoys backpacking and playing tennis. Her main hobby is Crush Café, a small business she founded in Idaho serving boba drinks and crepes. While the café is managed separately, Jennifer currently enjoys building partnerships with local women entrepreneurs who utilize Crush Café as their first physical sales channel.
